Surya Namaskar for a Healthy Immune System

Updated: Nov 12

Yoga and yoga sequences are all the rage, and anyone knows there are trillions and zillions of videos and images across the whole of the www! Of all these the surya namaskar is the holy grail of all yoga sequences and there are just as many views as to whether it is a good warm up practice or a full practice in its own right and so on...

All I will say is that if you combine surya namaskar with breathing and meditation it is the best there is to be had for having the healthiest immune system.

Sequence

  • Sit on the floor cross legged close your eyes and just start breathing in and out gently, calmly. Repeat this for 7 rounds.

  • Next stand up close your eyes and just start breathing in and out gently, calmly. Repeat this for 7 rounds.

  • Next its surya namasker - follow this sequence and repear it 3 times. It is lovely and well put together for children and if it works for them it will for you.

  • Next sit on the floor cross legged close your eyes and just start breathing in and out gently, calmly. Repeat this for 7 rounds.

  • Final continue sitting, eyes closed and just sit until you feel the urge to open your eyes. You have just had your meditation session...

Follow this programme for 7 days and then examine how you feel.....Continue with this practice or go explore, experiment with all the forms of yoga out there and find the one that really fits you....you will have the best immune system if you practice.
